    • Washington Post, The (DC) - October 11, 1977 Deceased Name: Horace Wemple, Industrial Engineer

      Horace R. Wemple Jr., 75, a former chief industrial engineer for the Universal Atlas Cement Division of U.S. Steel in New York, died at Memorial Hospital in Easton, Md., Oct. 7 as the result of a heart disorder.

      Mr. Wemple moved to St. Michael's Md., following his retirement from Universal Atlas in 1963. He was a member of the Navy League, the Miles River Yacht Club, and Christ Episcopal Church in St. Michael's.

      Survivors include wife, Abigail, of the home in St. Michael's; a daughter, Abigail Wemple, of Silver Spring; two sons, Peter, of Mt Rainier and Christopher, of Cheverly, and two grandchildren.
